Readers P.O.V
My feet are starting to hurt. I've been running for what, 20 minutes? I need to get as far away as possible though. I can still remember my fathers hurtful slurred words.
You're a disgrace to this family! Y-you little... ass!
I wipe a tear from my eye as I keep running. Finally, I stop. I see light up ahead, and a horses whinny. I run for it. If I get killed... well what's the point in living anyway. It's a win/win situation here. If I die, great, no more dad. If I don't die, well I don't die. As I get closer, I slow down, watching from the bushes.
Kili's P.O.V
"Fili, you will be keeping watch tonight" I smirked at my brother. He groaned, getting up.
"Alright Gandalf" He sighed and walked towards a huge boulder, climbing up and sitting on top, looking over the rocky plains. I lay back, getting myself comfortable. Soon all the dwarf's were asleep, and it was only Fili and I who were awake. I was about to doze off when I heard something... a shuffle in the bushes. I looked up at Fili. He was leaning on his hand, a small snore escaping his lips. I sighed, getting up to go and investigate. I looked behind the bushes. Nothing there... hm.
I got woken once more. This time, the sun was peeking over the horizon. I heard Fili shouting. I opened my eyes, not moving. Fili had a young dwarf pinned against a boulder. He was screaming angrily in her face.
"YOU THINK IT'S OKAY TO SNEAK UP ON PEOPLE LIKE THAT?" He shouted. She winced. Thorin stepped out from behind the boulder.
"Fili... do not shout." Fili looked at Uncle Thorin and dropped the girl, bowing his head. The girl gasped.
"King Thorin.." She gulped, falling onto her knees.
"Please your highness. I beg you let me accompany you on your journey. I am a humble dwarf, and I pray only for some company" She cried. Thorin was silent for a couple seconds, then nodded.
"You can come with us, but only-" Fili stepped forward.
"Uncle, you cannot just let random dwarfs join-"
"Fili" Thorin growled. "Go and keep watch." Fili nodded.
"Fili" Thorin growled. "Go and keep watch." Fili nodded.
"Yes Uncle." He turned and silently walked back to the boulder. Thorin looked at the dwarf.
"You can come with us, but only if you have a guardian with you at all times." She nodded.
"Of course, my king. Thank you." Thorin looked at the sleeping dwarfs.
"Kili" He called. I gulped, getting up and walking over.
"Yes uncle?"
Uncle Thorin looked at me with doubt in his eyes.
"You are to look after this dwarf" I nod.
"Yes uncle" He nods, turns and walks over to the sleeping dwarves. I turn to her and smile nervously.
"Uh... hi. I'm Kili" I awkwardly introduced. She smiled, she looked scared.
"M-my name is (y/n)" She stuttered.
Third person.
This Dwarf was different from the others. Maybe it was the lack of facial hair? Mm... nah. His brown eyes looked sad. You realised that you had been awkwardly admiring him. He was blushing. Snapping back into reality, you grinned.
"So where do you come from?" Kili motioned over to Thorin.
"Thorin? He's my Uncle." You gasp.
"Does that mean your a prince?" He pauses for a minute, then nods.
"Yeah, I guess it does" You prepared to get down on your knees, but he stopped you and chuckled.
"It's okay. You don't need to kneel" You smile. The group start to move. You and Kili walk at the back, learning about each others back stories.
"My dad was a drunk" You explain to him with a sigh. "Alcohol can bring out honesty in people, believe it or not." You pulled down your thick winter coat, revealing a deep wound across your neck. "He gave this to me before I ran away and found your group" You sigh. Kili gasps.
"(y/n), that looks like a serious wound!" You giggle.
"I'll manage. It's stopped bleeding and my jacket will protect it from infections... I hope" He grins, but it fades away as he realises it's his turn to tell a sad story.
"I was always the secondary brother. Even though I am older than Fili, I am treated like I am younger. Because... I have no beard I don't really get attention from females such as yourself. Fili, on the other hand... he has girls swooning over him" He sighed. "I just want to feel noticed" You smile weakly at him.
"We have a lot in common." You say. He smiles back. "So, where exactly are we travelling?" You ask. Fili points into the distance. The group were currently making their way through a valley. He pointed past the "V" shape the mountains were making. It wasn't very clear, but in the distance covered in a coat of fog was a large mountain.
"Erebor" He smirked. You gulp.
"Doesn't a dragon live in that mountain... or under it?" He laughed.
"Yes, but we'll run him out" You laughed with him.
Three days later

You stood in the corner, gasping for air as Kili and the other dwarves fought off the black bear to get the wooden door shut. There was a loud slam. They all sighed in relief. Kili walked over.
"You okay?" He asked in a worried tone. You nod, still panting. Over the past three days, you and Kili had grown close. He was like a best friend to you. That night, you rested in the house. You couldn't get to sleep, and just as you were nodding off... footsteps. Immediately, your head shot up. It went silent. You looked around, your heart beat quickening. Kili stepped out of the shadows. He looked around, not seeing you sit up and went out the back door. Quietly, you followed him. He was in the stables, gently stroking one of the beautiful vanner horses.
"Oh stallion, how can I be in love so fast?" He sighed. "She's so beautiful... everything about her just makes me get butterflies in the pit of my stomach. But she could never love me back. She'll fall for Fili like the rest of 'em." You gasped, silently backing away from the stables. He loves me? You keep backing away till your back comes in contact with the stone wall. You take a deep breath.
"Kili?" You call quietly. You hear a gasp, followed by some crashing noises. Kili lands on the floor at the entrance. He grins nervously at you.
"Oh um... hi (y/n). D-did you just come out here?" You shake your head. His eyes widen.
"I heard some talking noises, but I couldn't make anything out." You lie. He sighs in relief.
"Oh, right. I couldn't sleep so I came outside for some fresh air" He got up, scratching the back of his head. You smile, walking past him and into the stable. You sit on a hay bale. Kili leans against a stable door. It was silent for a second, but you spoke up.
"Kili, do you believe in 'love at first sight'?" You ask. He shrugs.
"To be honest, I'm not quite sure." You look up at him. "Do you?" He asks. You smile.
"Yes. I do" You take a step closer to him. He was a little taller than you. You had to look up slightly to make eye contact.
"(y/n) I-" You place a finger on his mouth.
"Don't ruin the moment" You giggle. He smiles, placing his hand on your cheek. Your lips hover under his. You close your eyes, relishing the moment. Finally, your lips collide. A beautiful kiss, filled with passion.
There is a bright future ahead.

Thorin x Reader - Coincidence
“Thorin hold still.” You scolded. Your face wore a frown as you tugged on the coarse black hair. The Company had stopped on the outskirts of Trollshaw Forest and Gandalf had left them upon its arrival. The company were so invested in preparing dinner and fixing sleeping bags for the night, that they did not take notice of you and the King sitting opposite each other by the fire. Thorin winced as you braided the right side of his hair and listened to his ramblings about Kili and Fili,
“When I find them…” Thorin began as he stared sideways into the fire.
“You will not shout.” You stated. Thorin looked

Thorin x Reader x Kili
The events that landed you on the path you currently walked were now a matter of history and legend. In merely a few moments, you were to become the first princess of the recently reclaimed Kingdom of Erebor, wife of Kili, and niece to Thorin son of Thrain. You knew that when this story was told to future generations, all of it would seem so simple and joyous. There was only one other person who knew the truth, and he, like yourself, would go to the grave with it.
You had travelled with the company of Thorin Oakenshield since its inception. By means of brave acts committed out of pure loyalty and devotion, you had inadvertently forged

Kili x Reader: 'Orcs?'
Though you had been on many adventures with the company before, keeping watch late at night against a cold cliff face wasn’t your idea of a pleasant time. You were sitting next to Kili, glancing between the campfire and the carving he was working on to pass the time. You felt your eyelids begin to droop against your will and leaned your head against his shoulder.
“Tired already?” he chuckled quietly so that he didn’t wake anyone. You merely nodded your head in response and groaned quietly when he moved away, only to quickly return to wrap a blanket around your shoulders.
“Thank you,” you mumbled, snugglin
